This statement reflects Chāruvāka thinking. They advocate materialism and deny karma and rebirth. 'As long as you live, enjoy life. After death how can one return?'

Judgement before knowledge which is subject to verification or correction is belief.

That which cannot be refuted or negated is Abādhitam.

Dharma as a Purushārtha is sought after by all human beings (sarvaiḥ purushaiḥ arthyate).

The subtle results of good actions are called Puṇya while that of bad actions are called pāpa.

All the three purushārthas have defects. They are - (1) they are difficult to satisfy completely; (2) they keep one bound and (3) they provide results which are a mixture of joy and sorrow.

Dissatisfaction or discontentment is one of the three defects of Artha, Kāma and Dharma purushārthas.

The property which binds one to the purushārthas is called Bandhagatvam.

Though Yayāti borrowed youth from one of his sons for a thousand years, all the pleasures that he enjoyed were unable to satisfy him.

The limitation by which worldly pleasures and possession are always accompanied by pain is called Duḥkha miśrutatvam.
