What is the meaning of नित्यम् (Nityam)
Nityam means eternal—existing in all three periods of time - past, present, and future. "त्रिकालं यः तिष्ठति" (Trikālaṁ yaḥ tiṣṭhati)
According to Vedānta, what is always present?
The presence of consciousness never changes. It is the nature of the Ātma.
According to Vedānta, अनात्मा (Anātmā) is:
Anātmā (body, mind, world) is dependent and impermanent, hence called Mithyā.
In Bhagavad Gita 2.16, "असतः भावः न विद्यते" (Asataḥ bhāvaḥ na vidyate) means:
What is temporary does not possess absolute or permanent existence. It has only borrowed existence.
What is another word that Śloka17 uses to say that Atma is Nityaḥ?
Avināśī means indestructible.
The word "विद्धि" (Viddhi) in Śloka 2.17 means:
Krishna instructs Arjuna to understand and firmly keep this truth in mind

One who views Sukham and Dukham as equal is a Dheeraḥ, an intelligent person
