Vaiśaṃpāyana extolled Yudhiṣṭhira's rule and listed several glorious points. This included 'just' taxes, abundant rains, prosperous primary industry and even honest thieves, meaning there were no thieves!

Krishna is called Keśava because he slayed the demon Keśī. Vaiśaṃpāyana used this name to address Bhagavān when he arrived at the Rājasūya yagna

King Yudhiṣṭhira generously gave to each of the Brāhmaṇas present there, 1,000 cows, beddings and gold coins.

All the kings that went to Rājasūya yagnam went with a lot of costly jewels. It is said that when one goes to meet the King, God or Guru one should never go empty handed. Riktapāṇir na gacchet rājānaṃ daivataṃ gurum

Duḥśāsana was in charge of food and entertainment department, Aśvatthāmā was allocated with serving the Brāhmaṇas, Kripachariar was responsible for felicitating the guests while Bhagavān who was the centre of the universe, volunteered to wash the feet of all the Brāhmaṇas.

Bhīṣma told Yudhiṣṭhira that six people were eligible to receive Arghyam. They were Guru, Sacrificial priest, King, Friend, Relative and Snātaka Brāhmaṇa

It was Bhīṣma who advised Yudhiṣṭhira that Bhagavān Sri Krishna was the most eligible in that assembly to receive the first Arghya, He being everything, the Srishti, Sthithi and Laya Karthā and worshipped by all. Śiśupāla vehemently opposed this and insulted Bhīṣma with derogatory words for saying this.

Śiśupāla was born accompanied by bad omens and with an extra eye along with an extra pairs of hands. As his parents were about to abandon him, an Aśarīrī said that he will not die young. His slayer will be the one, on whose lap if he's laid, his extra eye and pair of hands would drop off. His mother tried several kings and finally it was on Bhagavan's lap that when he was laid his hands and eye came off.

As promised to his aunt, Śiśupāla's mother, Bhagavān pardoned exactly 100 insults of Śiśupāla. When in a fit of rage Śiśupāla lost count and proceeded beyond the agreed target, Bhagavān summoned His Chakrāyudha and severed Śiśupāla's head.
