King Lomapādar, the king of Anga, arranged the marriage of the great sage Ṛṣyaśṛṅga with Śāntā who is described as the daughter of King. Ṛṣyaśṛṅga’s presence was also connected with bringing prosperity and rain to Lomapada’s kingdom.

The kingdom of Lomapāda was suffering from a severe drought. The king was advised that the presence of the powerful and spiritually pure Ṛṣyaśṛṅga would bring the much-needed rains. The sage was therefore brought to the kingdom, after which the drought ended and prosperity returned.

Renukā was the devoted wife of Sage Jamadagni Maharishi. They had four sons, followed by their fifth son Rāma, later renowned as Paraśurāma, who became a great warrior and devotee of Lord Śiva.

Renukā went to the river to fetch water and saw a king enjoying himself in the water with his wives. The sight caused a momentary disturbance in her mind, and she returned late to the hermitage. Jamadagni, perceiving what had happened, became angry, leading to the well-known episode involving his sons and ultimately Paraśurāma.

Pleased with Paraśurāma’s obedience, Sage Jamadagni granted him a boon. Paraśurāma did not ask for wealth or power; instead, he requested that his mother Renukā and his brothers be brought back to life and restored to their former state. This episode highlights Paraśurāma’s devotion to his parents and his compassion towards his family.

Lomapada understood that Vibhāṇḍaka's anger came from concern for his son, not merely personal pride.
Instead of confronting him, he created a situation that communicated:
"Your son has not been abandoned; he is honoured and cared for."
This is an example of conflict resolution through understanding rather than confrontation.

Sukanya remained faithful to Chyavana despite the alternative provided. Even when Chyavana was made youthful and appeared similar to the Ashwini Kumaras, she was able to recognise and choose her true husband. Her steadfastness and loyalty are central to the story.

In Paraśurāma's absence, Kārtyavirya Arjuna visited Jamadagni's Ashram and out of greed and arrogance forcefully seized the divine cow, Homa Denu.

Paraśurāma purged the Earth of tyrannical kshatriyas 21 times as revenge for his father's murder

Richika married Satyavati and begot Sage Jamadagni. Jamadagni's son was Lord Paraśurāma who was born with the traits and skills of a warrior.

The Aśvini kumāras restored Chyavana's youth, pleased with his wife's devotion to him. When Indra objected to Chyavana's offering of the Soma Rasa to the Aśvini kumāras and tried to hurl his Vajrāyudha at the sage, Chyavana paralysed Indra.
