The quiz is drawn from three books. The first is a beautiful book “In the Footsteps of Rama,” by Vikrant Pande and Neelesh Kulkarni. The authors travel through the route that Lord Rama took. They bring together stories from places that are famous, not so famous and the unknown. The stories reflect the Valmiki Ramayana and also local traditions.

“Ayodhya” and “UP A to Z” by UP Tourism are two other books that have an elaborate description of the journey of Rama.

The deity is the beautiful Vaduvur Rama. Vaduvur is near Thanjavur  in Tamil Nadu. Thanjavur hosts the famous Big Temple of Cholas.
